3 Steps For Making Your Advertising Floor Graphic Really Pop

Posted on: 28 November 2017

A creative way to advertise your business is with a floor graphic. You can place the graphic within your own business, or you can rent out some retail floor space in a high-traffic area, for example, at a local sports arena or mall. If you have a high-traffic place where you can put a floor graphic that will advertise and hopefully increase your business, there are a few things you are going to want to do to make it really stand out, such as:

#1 Use 2D or 3D Graphics

Do not keep things flat and one dimensional when you design your floor graphics. You want to get people to look down and pay attention. To do that, you are going to need a graphic that really catches their attention. A great way to grab onto someone's attention is with a 2D or 2D floor graphic. This type of floor graphic will feel like it has dimensionality. Depending on how you shape the graphic, it can provide people with an experience. If you make a 3D graphic of a hole, one could feel like they are falling into it. If you make a 3D graphic of a car, it could feel like they are sitting in the car.

You are putting a graphical image in an unusual space, and if you want people to pay attention to it, you are going to need to use some tactics to make them pay attention. Don't be afraid to get creative.

#2 Use Contrasting Colors

It is not just about the image you use; it is about the colors that you use as well. If you really want your image to stand out, you need to choose the right colors. Try to use contrasting colors. Contrasting colors are a great way to ensure that your design pops. For example, if your design is blue, your lettering should be in orange. These two colors contrast with each other, and orange lettering would really pop next to a blue design.

#3 Protective Wear & Slip-Resistant Layer

When you put down an advertisement on the floor, you want to make sure that it is going to last. The best way to do that is by protecting the image. You can protect the image by putting down a protective wear layer on top of the image as well as a layer of slip-resistant coating.

The first type of coating will protect your image so that it doesn't get worn down by all the feet that will be walking over it. The second type of coating is designed to protect the people that will be walking over your floor graphic. You want your floor graphic to grab their attention, not injure anyone, which is where the slip-resistant protective layer comes into play.

If you want your floor graphic to stand out, design it, so it has some depth and uses contrasting colors to grab people's attention. Be sure to protect your image with a protective and slip-resistant coating to ensure that your image lasts; it can't pop if it is worn down.
